Body Stress is defined as the physical, emotional or chemical, strain or tension that can manifest in the human body through a multitude of symptoms. This often leads to locked in tension in the physical structure of the body, such as the muscles and joints, often restricting the nerve pathways.
Stress is a normal aspect of our development and in small quantities is good for us. Stress can however build-up over a period of time of be a result of sudden, physical, emotional or chemical trauma or accident. This locked-in tension can cause pain stiffness, numbness or postural disorders.
The BSR Technique is designed to help the body release its stored tensions. With the person fully clothed and lying down, the practitioner carries out a series of tests to locate the exact sites of body stress, and determines the precise directions in which the lines of tension exist.
